About the role

Reporting to the Head of Operations – SEA, the TPM & Special Projects – SEA is responsible for overseeing third‑party manufacturing (TPM) operations across Southeast Asia, ensuring that all TPM partners meet Fonterra’s standards for quality, compliance, and commercial performance. In addition to TPM oversight, this role leads and delivers special projects that drive operational excellence, process improvement, and cost optimisation across the SEA supply chain.

This regional role provides leadership, coordination, and technical oversight to in‑market TPM Executives, supporting consistent execution, risk management, and continuous improvement across the TPM network. This role enables growth through third‑party sourcing and operational projects, protecting Fonterra’s brand, product integrity, and intellectual property, and supporting the region’s commercial and operational objectives.

Key Accountabilities
TPM Accountabilities
  • TPM Oversight & Governance - Provide regional leadership and coordination across all TPM activities in Southeast Asia. Ensure TPM partners operate in line with Fonterra’s global standards, policies, and risk frameworks.
  • Monitor and support the performance of in‑market TPM Executives. Ensure consistent application of TPM processes, including onboarding, capability assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to product quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property. Ensure TPMs meet all contractual and operational obligations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Technical, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial) and external TPM partners. Act as the regional point of contact for TPM‑related escalations and initiatives.
  • Support the deployment and continuous improvement of TPM‑related systems, tools, and documentation. Contribute to the development of regional TPM strategies and alignment with global frameworks.
  • Coach and support TPM Executives in‑market to build technical and operational capability. Promote knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across the region.
  • Provide input into sourcing decisions, contract negotiations, and cost optimisation initiatives related to TPM. Ensure TPM operations support Fonterra’s commercial and growth objectives.
Special Projects (Operations Focused) Accountabilities
  • Lead and deliver special projects to enhance operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and process improvement across SEA supply chain functions.
  • Manage cross‑functional projects supporting NPD, regulatory compliance, and HSW initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and alignment with regional operational goals.
  • Report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to the Head of Operations – SEA.
Critical Skills & Experiences
  • Tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, technical, or supply chain roles, including exposure to third‑party manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to lead across multiple markets and cultures.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience managing external manufacturing partners or vendors.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and process improvement capabilities.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and systems used in TPM or supply chain environments.
