Job summary

A leading mobility solutions provider is looking for a Test & Commissioning Engineer in Kuala Lumpur. This role involves planning, installing, testing, and commissioning signaling systems for railway projects. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in installation and testing of railway signaling systems, with a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage on-site activities are essential. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and provides the chance to work on impactful mobility solutions.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in installation, testing and commissioning in railway signaling.
  • Experience with railway projects involving CBTC is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues on-site.

  • Conduct testing and commissioning of the signaling system.
  • Perform software baseline testing and upgrades on-site.
  • Update testing and commissioning procedures as necessary.
  • Prepare and revise testing and commissioning reports.

Purpose of the job: To plan, install, test and commission of the signaling system for the on-board system and support wayside activities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct testing and commissioning of the signaling system and ensure its integration with other systems
  • Perform software baseline testing and upgrades on-site.
  • Update and prepare testing and commissioning procedures as necessary.
  • Prepare and revise testing and commissioning reports as required.
  • Provide input and conduct reviews to uphold the high quality of the application design from the engineering team.
  • Manage customer interactions on-site during testing and commissioning activities.
  • Maintain regular updates of the test progress tracker.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Mechanical or a related field.

Other Requirements
  • 8+ years relevant experience in Installation, test and commissioning experience in railway signalling. Railway projects with CBTC experience is preferred
  • Technical skills required: Vehicle Hardware Product, ATC System T&C, Train to wayside communication
  • Area and Nature of Impact: Impact to the progress of the project execution
  • Troubleshooting: Trouble shooting and log analysis experience is needed. Capable to make decision at site.
  • Site coordination, customer liaison, public speaking and presentation with different stakeholders (ie. Customer, consultant, subcontractor, interface work packages contractors)
  • Liaise with Customer front line staff, sub-contractors
  • Willing to be based on site
  • Willing to work on any shift
