Job summary

A leading equipment manufacturer in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a mechanical assembly technician. Responsibilities include assembling parts per drawings, maintaining paperwork, and troubleshooting wiring issues. Candidates should have at least an SPM or diploma in engineering, with a preference for those with 1 year of assembly experience. Proficiency in Malay, English, and Mandarin is required for effective communication. This role offers a chance for fresh graduates who are responsible and eager to learn.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components into finished modules per drawings.
• Maintain documentation on assembled modules.
• Keep work area organized for safety.
• Perform machine wiring according to diagrams.
• Conduct QC checks on wiring upon completion.
• Troubleshoot wiring issues as needed.

Job description

Assemble mechanical components into finished or sub-assembly modules according to assembly drawings and work instruction with meeting the quality criteria.

Maintain the paperwork on modules assembles for documentation purposes.

Keep work area clean and organized to increase work area safety and productivity.

Keep all tools in good working order and operate with guards in place and wear any applicable safety equipment.

Perform machine’s wiring accordingly to wiring diagrams provided.

Perform wiring’s QC check upon completion of work.

Assist on trouble shooting wiring issue and IO wiring checking.

Assisting in continuous improvement ideas to improve safety, quality and productivity of mechanical assembly and machine’s wiring.

Undertake other duties and responsibilities, which may be assigned by the Company from time to time with on time full closure.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least SPM or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Electrical, or equivalent)

At least 1 year of working experience in mechanical assembly is preferred

Fresh graduates with responsible attitudes are encouraged to apply

Possess basic mechanical knowledge

Ability to use own initiative and work with minimal supervision

Flexible attitude and good interpersonal skills

Energy and drive to meet and exceed requirements

Willing to work long hour and during after office hour, off day and weekend when needed & got any urgent cases

Ability to troubleshoot & solve Conversion Kits & Spare Part and work independently

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, willing to learn and work hard

Extra skill needed: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Required languages: Malay, English, Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
