Job summary

A logistics company in Malaysia is looking for a technician to provide hands-on support for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated systems and warehouse equipment. To provide hands‑on technical support for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated systems and warehouse equipment, ensuring high operational reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of automation equipment (e.g., conveyors, sensors, actuators, sorters).
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks and document results.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software‑related issues in automated systems.
  • Support the engineering team during system testing and upgrades.
  • Maintain tools, spares inventory, and documentation for equipment.
  • Escalate recurring faults and propose improvements based on field observations.
  • Adhere to safety and operational SOPs, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Update technical drawings using CAD tools.
  • Communicate equipment issues and updates to stakeholders.
  • Support vendor technicians during servicing and commissioning.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma or certificate in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance or automation support roles, preferably in logistics or manufacturing.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, wiring diagrams, pneumatic systems, or SCADA is a plus.
  • Good hands‑on skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Willingness to work on shifts or weekends when required during rollout phases or urgent breakdown request.
