Technical Consultant - Dynamics 365 F&O (E-commerce platform)

Our client is an Australian company that runs an E‑commerce platform with presence across APAC and the Australian region. We are looking for a seasoned D365 Developer to join their tech team and continue working on enhancing their platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical developer for a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementation, driving development activities across the entire lifecycle.
• Architect, build, test, and maintain custom features, extensions, integrations, and reports within D365 F&O.
• Develop and support system integrations using APIs, Data Entities, OData, REST/SOAP services, JSON, and XML.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high‑quality standards, best practices, and optimal performance.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to establishing development guidelines and accelerators within a Centre of Excellence.
• Oversee deployments, environment setup, monitoring, diagnostics, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Lifecycle Services (LCS).
• Support project environments, release cycles, and go‑live activities.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams in an agile setup, participating in Scrum ceremonies and embracing DevOps principles.

Experience & Knowledge

• 7+ years of hands‑on development experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 F&O with X++, including at least 2 recent years on the latest D365 F&O version.
• Strong functional and technical exposure to Finance modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Project Accounting.
• Solid background in building and customizing forms, tables, classes, and reports, with practical knowledge of SSRS and integrations.
• Experience performing data migrations within transformation or upgrade projects.
• Skilled in managing and deploying D365 F&O environments in Azure via LCS, including configuration, diagnostics, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record providing technical support for D365 F&O projects and handling release management.
• Familiarity with ALM platforms such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong grasp of D365 F&O architecture, extensibility frameworks, Chain of Command, design patterns, and development standards.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical and functional issues.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proactive, self‑driven, and quick to absorb new technologies or concepts.
• Comfortable working in distributed delivery models and collaborating across onshore/offshore teams.
• Capable of analyzing, challenging, and refining business and technical requirements.
• Bonus: experience with legacy system modernization, legacy code remediation, and performance optimization in D365 F&O.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technically, mentor others, conduct code reviews, and contribute to solution design.
