Team Leader, Global Supply Chain Purchasing is responsible for developing and executing global supply chain purchasing of goods and services while maintaining quality, compliance, and timely delivery. This role involves managing supplier relationships, driving supply chain constraints, ensuring on-time deliveries, purchase order management and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure Material Availability & Supply Chain Optimization
    • Lead a team of buyers to manage purchase orders and procurement.
    • Follow Min-Max and STA plans to avoid shortages and excess inventory.
    • Work with SCP to create prioritization plans for material allocation when supply is limited.
    • Ensure supplier commitment and timely updates of Demand & Supply reports.
    • Fix bottlenecks and improve material flow.
    • Trigger and work with SCP for efficient supply chain models (supplier links, replenishment, transit times).
  • Control Tower Process
    • Monitor material constraints and flow issues to complete the required Clear To Build.
    • Collaborate with SCP to reduce lead time and cost of goods.
    • Support strategic projects to improve supply chain scalability.
  • Lead and Mentor Team
    • Guide Global Buyers handling local and international purchases.
    • Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Create competency matrix for Global Buyers.
    • Identify skill gaps and run training programs (e.g., MRP, inventory analysis, negotiation).
  • Reporting and KPIs
    • Prepare purchasing reports and maintain clear records for Purchase Orders.
    • Ensure all Purchase Order KPIs are met and drive process improvements.
Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
Preferred Qualification
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with at least 3 years in a global role. Experience in setting up a Global Business Support team will be an added advantage.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools. Preferable in D365 Microsoft environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
