A prominent manufacturing company is seeking a Supply Chain & Operations Director based in China. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in metal manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and a solid background in production and supply chain management. This role offers a gross salary up to RM60,000/SGD$22,000, luxury dormitory accommodation, covered flights, and various bonuses. The candidate must be willing to relocate to China for long-term employment.

Responsibilities:
Lead overall operations strategy, annual planning, budgeting, and execution for the Huizhou manufacturing base
Oversee production planning, capacity planning, and factory operations to meet market demand and delivery timelines
Develop and implement global procurement strategies, ensuring cost competitiveness, quality, and supply stability
Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships locally and internationally to optimise the supply chain
Coordinate closely with sales, logistics, R&D, finance, and quality teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
Establish effective order management, delivery tracking, and customer feedback mechanisms
Optimise logistics networks and inventory (including VMI warehouses) to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Drive lean manufacturing, automation, and process improvements to enhance productivity and capacity
Identify operational risks (supply chain, production, logistics) and implement mitigation and contingency plans
Lead, manage, and develop large cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical / Materials Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related disciplines
5+ years of experience in metal manufacturing or related industries (e.g. automotive parts, machinery, electronics)
Proven experience leading large manufacturing operations with strong people management capability
Strong background in production planning, supply chain management, procurement, logistics, and cost control
Solid understanding of metal fabrication processes (stamping, machining, surface treatment, post-processing, etc.)
Familiar with global raw material sourcing, pricing trends, and supplier management
Experience working with ERP / SAP / SCM / QMS systems
Exposure to ISO quality systems and overseas customer requirements
Strong financial awareness in budgeting, cost control, and profitability management
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-cultural coordination skills
Willing and able to be based long-term in China
