A leading floral company in Malaysia is seeking a talented Supply Chain Executive. This position involves overseeing sourcing and purchasing activities to ensure that items are cost-efficient and of high quality. Responsibilities include managing supplier relations, planning purchases, and collaborating with various teams to maintain seamless operations. The ideal candidate should possess a diploma, with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience, be fluent in English and Malay, and skilled in negotiation and communication.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Supply Chain Executive to oversee sourcing, purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality. The responsibilities of this role include maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to company procurement SOP, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage daily operational purchasing, including planning and issuing purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with Finance for payments, credit notes, and invoice discrepancy resolution.
  • Coordinate extensively with the Product, Operations, Logistics, Inventory, and Finance teams for seamless business operations.
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers for pricing, samples, and terms to secure the best deals.
  • Source new suppliers and analyze pricing proposals for competitiveness.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive supplier relationships, fostering business partnerships.
  • Prepare comprehensive purchasing reports and update price lists.
  • Document and track all ordered/received goods, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Update, control, and verify documentation for project/campaign compliance.
  • Assist in product costing, pricing, and maintaining internal Product Specifications.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks assigned by superiors.
  • Develop and implement safety guidelines for supply chain processes
  • Analyze Supply Chain operational performance data and find areas for improvement
Requirements
  • Goal-oriented and a team player
  • Able to perform overtime to troubleshoot urgent/emergency matters.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Speak and write fluently in English and Malay, ability in Mandarin is an advantage
  • Minimum Diploma or equivalent certifications or at least 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably from FMCG or similar industry.
