Job summary

A leading convenience store chain in Klang City is searching for a Supervisor for Transport/Outbound Operations. You will support logistical operations, ensuring accurate dispatches and timely deliveries, while managing team performance and adhering to safety standards. Candidates should possess a diploma or degree in logistics/transport and have a strong knowledge of Excel. This role requires the ability to work long hours and in shifts, including nights.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in managing a large group of subordinates.

Job description

Supervisor, Transport/Outbound Operations

Support Outbound Executive on day-to-day operations control and deliveries.

Support Outbound Executive to ensure accurate and on-time dispatches and deliveries.

Support Outbound Executive to establish and implement distribution strategies, plans and objectives.

Assist Outbound Executive to analyse transportation issues and seek support from service provider.

To assist Outbound Executive to evaluate freight costs and institute actions to ensure targeted costs are achieved.

Ensure safety and health practices and procedures are adhered to at the workplace.

Review employee hourly performances on route preparation, Joint Check and loading against target set for each scope.

Ensure that all documentation for daily deliveries printed prior loading and have handover signoff with drivers to avoid store complaints.

To assist and monitor and optimize asset utilization process, and monitor the efficiency of consumables and packaging material usage.

To assist Outbound Executive on the manpower duty roaster and review attendance compliance with plan, advice Superior on daily attendance and task assignment for each headcount.

To assist update Superior day to day output vs headcount and review & request overtime approval before activation and target output from the overtime hours.

Attend to any issue raised by stores during delivery and solve the issue asap and to refer to Outbound manager if need any advice.

Monitor and review daily tote collection and communicate with transporters any driver failing to collect tote boxes from stores.

To assist Superior conduct the Vendor Management Program (VMP) Meetings with Transporters and 3PL for continuous service level improvement together with Outbound Manager.

Prepare transportation KPIs -OTW/OTL/OTD/COD.

Perform other job-related duties as and when requested by Superior.

Conduct floor Audits on regular basis, Joint Check accuracy, loading accuracy process and shrinkage control.

To perform any other work as and when required.

Requirements:

STPM/Diploma/Bachelor in logistics/transport

Good knowledge in excel, word and power point • Experience in manage big group of sub ordinates / transporters.

Able to work long hours (OT) if required
