In Southeast Asia, a major economic zone with a population nearing 700 million, Japanese companies have recently shown an increasing eagerness to invest in order to capitalize on its growth. Despite its cohesion as a vast economic region, Southeast Asia is characterized by the diversity of its countries, each possessing unique attributes. This complexity directly contributes to the intricate business challenges faced by Japanese firms entering the market. Due to the region’s booming market and unique challenges, there is a rising demand for consulting services to support clients’ mid‑to‑long‑term strategies, and we are seeking individuals to help lead our strategy consulting business in Southeast Asia.

Traditionally viewed primarily as a manufacturing and export hub leveraging low labor costs, the region is now gaining importance as a market due to economic growth and the expanding middle class. Along with this, there is an increasing need to tap into the rapidly expanding digital economy, which is showing leapfrog‑like growth.

Our Technology, Media, and Telecommunications team is no exception. Given the rising demand for supporting clients’ businesses, particularly in the areas of strategy consulting and marketing/digital strategy, we are actively recruiting for this position.

We expect you to play an active role in delivering strategy‑level projects and supporting proposal activities for our high‑tech, media, and telecommunications clients from Japanese companies. As Manager, you will demonstrate leadership in a mixed team of local and JCS members, managing projects while using personal strengths to support project and client development.

  • Proven track record of contributing to securing projects through proposal activities.
  • Experience in leading projects.
  • Native level Japanese and business level English or native level English and business level Japanese.
  • In‑depth consulting experience in a specific industry (technology, consumer, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Southeast Asia related consulting experience.
