Talented & Experienced Sous - Chef, is wanted to join our team at Yellow Beach Cafe, Langkawi.
Supporting our head Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting the Head Chef in the overall management and organisation of the kitchen, including staff supervision, scheduling, and task delegation
- Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop and execute innovative menu items that showcase the best of local and international cuisines
- Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency across all dishes
- Overseeing the procurement, storage, and inventory management of kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen team
- Adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry
- Formal culinary training or a degree in Culinary Arts or a related field
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and cost control
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a kitchen team
- Proficient in food safety and hygiene practices, as well as compliance with local regulations
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
