We’re building Southeast Asia’s most ambitious coding and AI school. Not another tutorial factory. Not another theory‑first bootcamp. A real training ground where people change careers, build real products, and enter the tech world with confidence, because they were taught by real engineers who ship.

This role is for someone who wants to build serious software and also elevate the next generation of engineers. You won’t be a full‑time teacher. You won’t be a full‑time engineer. You’ll be both: The perfect hybrid for someone who loves building and loves sharing what they know.

What You’ll Do

Build (50 percent)

You’ll help architect and build the Sigma Learning Portal, our gamified, AI‑assisted, coding platform built with modern tools. You’ll:

• Build backend services on Node, Express, Postgres, Supabase
• Evaluate tradeoffs and push for what’s actually best for long‑term engineering
• Integrate AI features, scoring systems, project validations and more
• Work with DigitalOcean & cloud infra
• Build things people truly learn from, not just “pretty UI”

You’ll also teach: In a real, practical, developer‑to‑developer way.

• Guide students through real code‑alongs
• Debug with them like you would with a junior engineer on your team
• Explain concepts clearly without babying them
• Give honest feedback on their code
• Shape curriculum based on what real engineering feels like

This isn’t academic. It’s practical. Students learn to think like real devs because they’re learning with real devs.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with React, Next.js and modern frontend tooling
• Comfortable with backend fundamentals (Node, Express, Postgres)
• Familiar with DigitalOcean, Supabase or similar infra
• Strong reasoning about engineering tradeoffs
• Clear communicator who can break down complexity without losing depth
• Opinionated in a healthy way — you know what good engineering looks like
• Loves educating others and seeing people grow
• Thrives in fast‑moving environments
