Job summary

A Malaysian technology services firm is looking for a software developer to manage application requirements and support cases. You will participate in all phases of development, including programming and testing. Job description

Responsible for managing new application requirements or existing application change request. Participate in the whole development lifecycle phases; from requirements gathering up to the deployment. Handle support cases for all applications under the department’s care. Operates under general supervision with limited guidance and direction. May have interaction with external vendors and partners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Tasks may include, but not limited to the following:

1. Programming & development tasks such as:
   • Develop programming standards and document any new or change request requirements.
   • Conduct or assist in requirement gatherings.
   • Develop new application or enhance existing application to cater the requirements.
   • Scope and estimate development efforts on new or change request requirements.
   • Participate in the various testing phases and the deployment of the applications / change requests.
   • Assist in troubleshooting, debugging and bug fixing.
   • Monitor applications performance and development’s progress.
   • Collaborate with other software/system developers, business analysts and system architect to plan, develop, test, and maintain the applications.
   • Monthly/weekly reports of development progress.
2. Support activities to Department may include:
   • Maintaining / updating the various database
   • Asist in data collection for reporting needs
   • Analyzing reported incidents’ root cause

JOB REQUIREMENT (SKILLS)

1. Proficient in React, React-Native, Typescripts, Node.js, Phyton
2. Good to have experiences in PHP and Java.
3. Good database knowledge in MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB.
4. Experience in cloud development (AWS, Azure, AliCloud)

2. MUST have at least 2 years working experiences in software development, particularly in Web or Have practical experience and exposure to the technologies listed under this Job Requirement (Skills) to effectively perform the role.
3. Reliable and professional in conduct and practice.
4. Have the aptitude and desire to learn new skills and competencies.
5. Possesses good analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
6. Team management and leadership.
7. Able to work under pressure and independently without much supervision.
