Job summary

A leading financial institution in Malaysia is seeking a motivated professional to drive the marketing and retention of business deposits. You will actively engage in cross-selling various banking products, contribute to marketing campaigns, and cultivate long-term relationships with clients. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Business, relevant experience in financial services, and strong communication skills in English and BM. This role requires motivation and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a banking or finance role.
  • Strong ability to write compelling credit proposals in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products and services.

Job description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the marketing, solicitation, and retention of business deposits at branches, leveraging telemarketing and lead generation to target Small Medium Enterprise clients.
  • Engage actively in cross‑selling a range of the bank's products and services, including business loans, wealth management solutions, structured deposits, credit cards, and more.
  • Contribute to dynamic marketing campaigns and activities to effectively promote our products and services.
  • Maximize customer reach, product visibility, and operational efficiency to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Cultivate and nurture long‑term business relationships with Business Deposits clients.
  • Generate valuable leads and referrals for other sales teams or departments, expanding opportunities beyond the immediate scope.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong expertise in Sales within Financial Services (e.g., insurance, unit trust), preferably at the Senior Executive level
  • Excellent communication skills in English and BM; additional language proficiency is a plus
  • Proven ability to write compelling credit proposals in English
  • In‑depth knowledge of banking products and services, with strong interpersonal skills to engage across all levels
  • Highly motivated, sales‑driven and willing to travel
