Job summary

A construction company based in Johor Bahru is seeking a C&S Engineer / QAQC Coordinator to manage day-to-day project activities, ensuring they are executed on schedule and comply with quality standards. The candidate should have at least a secondary school/SPM or diploma in relevant fields, with a minimum of 5 years of experience for a managerial position. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Willingness to travel within Malaysia or ASEAN countries is required.

C&S Engineer / QAQC Coordinator

Primary Job Scope (Level and area of responsibility assigned will depend on background experience)

• Manage and supervise day-to-day project activities to ensure projects are executed and on schedule
• Monitor work progress and ensure that all works are in accordance to drawing, specification and quality controls are complied with the procedure
• Prepare site daily report and monthly progress report
• Ensure all aspects of QA and QC matters, record all defects works and ensure proper documentation
• In-charge of ensuring smooth process of supplying products to site
• Attend project/site meetings and kick-off meetings with Project Manager
• Maintain close communication with contractors to plan and derive accurate delivery scheduling
• Co-ordinate internally to produce product samples, sample boards, mock-ups for clients, architects, designers and project site references
• Responsible for general on-site technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
• Involving in testing, commissioning activities and job handover
• Any other duties assigned by the Management

Requirement

• At least secondary school/SPM or Diploma in Construction Management / Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Construction Manager position
• Minimum 1 - 2 years of relevant experience for Site Supervisor / Project Coordinator position
• Knowledge and experience in overall project coordination and progress monitoring
• Discipline, strong work ethic and able to work well under pressure
• Strong organisational skill, leadership and problem solving
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with all levels of staff and multiple stakeholders
• Willing to travel within Malaysia or ASEAN countries
