Job summary

A construction firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Inspector of Works with at least 10 years in supervising architectural and high-rise projects. Candidates must hold a Professional Certificate or Diploma in Architecture/Engineering and be registered with the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM). Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, with Mandarin as an advantage. The role involves ensuring compliance with specifications and coordinating site activities effectively.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of working experience in related field, preferably in supervision of architectural works and high-rise projects.
• Preferable consulting office experience.
• Must possess own transport.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure contractor to construct according to construction drawings & specification.
• Coordinate with various contractors, consultant & authorities on all site matters.
• Inspect & monitor at all times each stage of construction work including piling, structural, architectural works, mechanical & electrical works, external works & infrastructure works.
• Attend all site meetings & verify progress report.
• Coordinate with consultants and project manager & highlight foreseeable problems for action & ensure delivery of high-quality workmanship.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Architect Engineer or equivalent.
• Registered as Inspector-Of-Works (IOW) with Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM).
• At least 10 year(s) of working experience in related field preferably in supervision of architectural works and high rise projects.
• Preferable consulting office experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in written & spoken in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in Mandarin will be added advantage.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Must possess own transport.
