Job description
SHO (Safety and Health Officer)
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree or above in Safety Engineering or a related field.
  • Certification Requirement: Must possess a valid professional certificate issued by JKKP (Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia).
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a SHO. Prior experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
  • Language Requirement: Excellent command of both English and Malay (written and spoken). Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage. Must be capable of effectively managing multicultural teams and producing professional technical and report documentation.
  • Other Qualities: Exceptional organizational, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to lead the project safety team and promote collaboration among various internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
  1. Assume leadership responsibility for the supervision of project work safety and occupational health.
  2. Be fully responsible for all safety and occupational health liaisons between the project department and Malaysian authorities such as JKKP and CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board).
  3. Participate in the development of the project safety plan and supervise its implementation.
  4. Attend various project safety technical briefings and acceptance inspections.
  5. Participate in formulating project safety management implementation rules, emergency response plans for production safety accidents, safety technical measures plans, and safe technical operating procedures; follow up on their implementation and inspect compliance.
  6. Participate in various safety inspections; for identified hazards, urge relevant engineers to implement timely corrections and follow up to verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  7. Attend safety meetings such as the weekly safety meeting, take minutes, supervise the implementation process of specialized construction plans for high-risk works, and conduct close supervision for critical activities like equipment installation and dismantling.
  8. Organize induction safety training for workers, monitor certified staffing, and oversee the conduct of pre-shift safety meetings.
  9. Be responsible for managing safety personnel within the project department, such as SSS (Site Safety Supervisor) and LS (Lifting Supervisor).
  10. Complete other safety production tasks assigned by superiors.
SSS (Site Safety Supervisor)
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree or above in Safety Engineering or a related field.
  • Certification Requirement: Must possess a valid professional certificate issued by JKKP.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an SSS. Prior experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
  • Language Requirement: Good command of both English and Malay (written and spoken). Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage. Able to prepare professional safety reports.
  • Other Qualities: Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills, capable of promoting collaboration among internal and external parties.
Primary Responsibilities

  7. Be responsible for conducting regular safety training for special operation personnel under their jurisdiction, and urge/guide teams to conduct pre-shift safety meetings and maintain records.
  8. In the event of a production safety accident, immediately report to the Project Manager, organize casualty rescue and personnel evacuation, protect the scene, cooperate with the accident investigation, and diligently implement preventive measures.
CSI (Certified Scaffolding Inspector)
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree or above in Safety Engineering or a related field.
  • Certification Requirement: Must possess a valid professional certificate issued by JKKP.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CSI. Prior experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
  • Language Requirement: Good command of both English and Malay (written and spoken). Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage. Able to prepare professional safety reports.
  • Other Qualities: Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills, capable of promoting collaboration among internal and external parties.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Language Requirement: Good command of both English and Malay (written and spoken). Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage. Able to prepare professional safety reports.
  • Other Qualities: Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills, capable of promoting collaboration among internal and external parties.
Primary Responsibilities
  1. Participate in safety and occupational health liaison work between the project department and Malaysian authorities like JKKP and CIDB.
