Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Kajang is seeking a Safety Compliance Officer to enforce SHE policies and conduct site inspections. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with legal requirements, support high-risk activities, and promote a proactive safety culture. Minimum 2 years of SHE Management experience in manufacturing is required, along with a relevant degree. Additional certifications are advantageous. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on workplace safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in SHE Management from a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified in OSH – C with DOSH or passed SHO exam paper 1, 2 & 3 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce on-site compliance with SHE policies, SOPs, legal and global requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
  • Support and monitor high-risk activities such as contractor works and electrical tasks.
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts.

Job description

Enforce on-site compliance with SHE policies, SOPs, legal and global requirements.

Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments, and ensure timely corrective actions.

Intervene and stop unsafe acts or conditions and escalate critical risks.

Support and monitor high-risk activities (e.g. contractor works, hot work, electrical, confined space, working at height).

Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe act & conditions, including root cause analysis and follow-up actions.

Coordinate and deliver SHE training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.

Maintain SHE records, reports, and compliance documentation for audits and regulatory purposes.

Support internal and external audits, inspections, and site assessments.

Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Safety & Health or equivalent from the recognize learning institute.
  • Minimum 2 years experienced in SHE Management from Manufacturing environment.
  • Candidate who registered OSH – C with DOSH or Pass SHO exam paper 1, 2 & 3 is an added advantage.
  • Stakeholder management competency is a must.
