Job summary

Job description

An Australian‑based provider of full service and online broking, corporate finance and financial advisory services to private, institutional and corporate clients.

Job Responsibilities

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to design, coding, testing, and deployment.

Design, develop, and maintain microservices, event‑driven systems, and container‑based applications.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Collaborate with product owners, designers, QA engineers, and other teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies such as daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Promote best practices, including CI/CD, TDD, and observability for system monitoring.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following SOLID principles and established design patterns.

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Design and implement scalable cloud solutions leveraging AWS services, with a focus on Docker and ECS orchestration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including senior or lead responsibilities.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and modern delivery environments.
• Proficiency in .NET Framework 4.5 and .NET Core/.NET 5+ (ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework).
• Proven experience building microservices and event‑driven systems (e.g., Apache Kafka).
• Strong background in AWS‑based cloud solutions (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, IAM), including containerized deployments (Docker, ECS).
• Experience with Git‑based workflows, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Nice to have: Experience with system observability (New Relic, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) and legacy platform modernization.

Other Requirements

Candidates must be willing to work on Malaysia Public Holiday. Your holiday will follow the Australian public holiday hence you are required to work during Malaysia public holidays. If there are less AU Holidays than MY holidays, it will be compensated through additional annual leave days corresponding to the shortfall for that calendar year.
