• Senior level experience in a development role.

At our Malaysian Global Delivery Centre we work with clients from around the world to deliver engineering services in the industries of defense and cybersecurity to meet our customers needs.

We are looking for a candidate to work as a lead full stack developer with a focus on web based geospatial applications. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying user-facing features that make complex spatial data intuitive, responsive, and actionable for our users. Frontend experience in tools such as ReactJS & Typescript is of primary importance with knowledge of backend technologies such as Java also valuable.

What you will be doing

• Design and implement responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React, TypeScript, Material UI, ESRI, WebGL, and other modern frameworks.
• Work across the full stack to build, maintain, and optimize features — especially those involving map-based visualizations, interactive tools, and data dashboards.
• Contribute to UI/UX discussions to improve usability of spatial interfaces.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on performance
• Work effectively within an agile development team with an ability to adapt to new technical areas based on business priorities
• Contribute to backend processing and data transformation logic in Java
• Stay current with best practices in geospatial development and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Deploying applications on Kubernetes infrastructure
• Presenting application demos to senior stakeholders
• Mentoring junior team members

Role requirements

• Senior level experience in a development role
• Excellent English verbal communication skills, should be comfortable presenting to an international audience of senior stakeholders
• Experience working in the geospatial domain an advantage
• Experience with ReactJS, Redux and React Hooks
• Experience with Django or FastAPI
• Experience with WebGL/OpenGL or other 3D rendering/modelling technologies
• Experience with Backend Software Technologies such as Java or Python
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD technologies
• Experience working with Cloud deployments
