Job summary

A construction company in Kedah seeks a Construction Site Supervisor to manage on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project plans
  • Liaise with site/project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders for effective communication
  • Ensure that all construction work meets required quality standards and specifications
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures on-site
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to the Site/Project Manager
  • Identify potential issues or risks and propose solutions to mitigate them

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in construction site supervision or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in managing building construction projects.

Certifications

  • Good physical fitness and stamina.
Responsibilities
  • Site Supervision / Management: Supervise and monitor construction activities on‑site to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules; ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies; conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Coordination: Liaise with site / project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination; coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and labourers to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of tasks; schedule and oversee daily activities of construction crews.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards and specifications; identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the construction process; conduct quality checks on materials and workmanship.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures on‑site; conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks with workers; ensure all personnel on‑site adhere to safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to the Site / Project Manager; maintain accurate records of site activities, including labor, materials, and equipment usage; report any incidents, accidents, or delays to the Site Manager / Project Manager immediately.
  • Problem‑Solving: Identify potential issues or risks and propose solutions to mitigate them; address and resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise on‑site
