Job summary

A manufacturing company in Johor is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Purchasing & Materials Planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for material planning and production scheduling, ensuring inventory control, and collaborating with procurement. Applicants should possess a recognized diploma or certificate, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing within a manufacturing environment. A working knowledge of SAP and strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of SAP system is an added advantage.
• Good communication skill set and team player.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for material planning and plan delivery according to forecast & production capacity.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for material planning and plan delivery according to forecast & production capacity
• Responsible for production planning & expediting incoming materials to support demand
• Inventory control and execute purchase activities as per order lead time to meet department KPI and achieve customer satisfaction
• Work closely with procurement on vendor performance & other related matters
• Manage ECN on material related changes

Qualifications

• Minimum a recognized diploma or certificate in purchasing or material planning
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of SAP system is an added advantage
• Good analytical skill and Microsoft excel functions literacy
• Honest and good collaboration with other cross-functional teams
• Good communication skill set and team player
