Job summary

Job description
SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER (Sewerage/ Wastewater Management)

Lead, supervise, and support the planning, scheduling, and execution of STP and sewerage infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.

Review and ensure compliance of technical drawings, specifications, method statements, and engineering designs with IWK, JPP, DOE, and other regulatory requirements.

Coordinate effectively with authorities, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Oversee daily site operations, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works for STP systems such as tanks, pipelines, pump stations, and sludge systems.

Monitor quality control and ensure all works comply with QA/QC standards, project specifications, safety requirements, and environmental regulations.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and construction issues by providing appropriate engineering solutions.

Manage project schedules, progress monitoring, budget control, progress claims, and reporting requirements.

Conduct inspections and testing activities including hydrotests, water tests, compaction tests, concrete cube tests, and other required verifications.

Prepare and maintain project documentation such as daily and weekly reports, RFIs, material inspections, and as‑built records.

Lead and support testing and commissioning (T&C) of wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Environmental / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 5–8 years experience in wastewater management or sewerage treatment plant projects.

Strong understanding of STP processes, pump systems, aeration, clarifiers, sludge treatment and sewerage guidelines.

Familiar with IWK Standards, JKR Specifications, and other relevant codes.

Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills.

Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Registration with BEM/IEM is an advantage.
