A logistics and procurement firm in Johor is seeking a Senior Procurement and Logistics Executive to manage shipping and procurement operations. The candidate will oversee inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulatory standards. The role includes overseeing shipment documentation, freight sourcing, regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to optimize logistics efficiency and minimize cost.
Manage and monitor daily shipping schedules for inbound and outbound shipments.
Ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods, minimizing delays or disruptions.
Source freight costs from multiple carriers and prepare comparative freight cost analysis.
Manage logistics operations, including the coordination of transportation and warehousing activities.
Plan and optimize transportation routes and shipping modes to reduce logistic costs and enhance efficiency.
ProcurementReview purchase orders to ensure accuracy and conform with quotes.
Organize and coordinate procurement activities for suppliers, materials and equipment.
Manage supplier delivery schedules and maintain delivery dates for proper inventory control.
Coordinate with warehouse department for all incoming goods.
Assist in resolving problems with purchases or services, discuss defective goods/services with users, vendors, or inspectors to determine the source of the problem and the appropriate corrective action.
Match supplier invoices & delivery orders/service reports against purchase orders.
Prepare monthly outstanding PO reports for management review.
Carry out administrative tasks such as data input, processing information, completing paperwork and filing documents.
Adhere to purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
