Job summary

A leading quarry management company in Malaysia seeks an experienced Quarry Manager to oversee end-to-end operations across multiple sites. You will develop and implement strategies for production efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in the quarry or mining industry, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of quarry operations and HSE compliance. There will be frequent travel required between sites.

Lead and manage end-to-end quarry operations, including extraction, crushing, screening, drilling & blasting, maintenance, logistics, and sales coordination.

Has vast experience in quarry main equipment ie. Crusher, conveyor and electrical motors preventive maintenance and maintaining critical spare parts to minimize operational down time.

Oversee multiple quarry sites and ensure consistent operational, safety, and performance standards

Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production targets, cost efficiency, and profitability

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across all locations

Monitor production output, operating costs, and equipment performance

Prepare and manage operating budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures

Coordinate with sales and logistics teams to align production with market demand

Manage supplier, contractor, and service provider relationships

Evaluate and recommend capital expenditure (CAPEX) for plant and equipment improvements

Conduct regular site visits, audits, and performance reviews

Lead, mentor, and develop quarry managers, engineers, and operational teams

Provide regular operational and financial reports to senior management

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline

Minimum 10–15 years of quarry or mining experience, with proven multi-site management experience

Strong knowledge of quarry operations, crushing plants, and drilling & blasting

Solid understanding of HSE and environmental compliance

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Willingness and ability to travel frequently between quarry locations
