Key Accountabilities

The candidate will lead the client opportunity exploration, design, and implementation of cloud solutions on GCP, driving both strategic initiatives and tactical execution, and ensuring support is delivered in accordance with SLAs. You will play a key role in pre‑sales activities, collaborating with the sales and technical teams to deliver customized cloud solutions for clients. As a leader, you will guide a team of cloud engineers, fostering innovation while ensuring robust and scalable cloud architecture to meet client and internal business needs.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the development and execution of cloud architecture and strategy, specifically on Google Cloud Platform, aligning with business goals and technology advancements.
• Advise clients and develop comprehensive cloud solutions and services proposals based on leading cloud practices and architectural approaches,
• Own the content and lead workshops on technical topics with the client
• Architect cloud-native, hybrid, or multi‑cloud solutions to meet the client’s needs
• Develop and coordinate cloud architecture across diverse areas, including application development, identity and access management, network and data management, and cybersecurity protection
• Develop architectural artifacts to ensure the delivery of a successful implementation
• Engage with technical stakeholders of the client and third parties to understand how their systems work
• Get closer to business stakeholders and shape solutions that deliver business outcomes
• Provide mentorship and coaching to internal and external technical team members.
• Defines technical direction and roadmap for cloud migrations and assists in managing the implementation and technical solutions
• During the pre‑sales phase, collaborate with the sales team to identify customer requirements, conduct technical assessments, and deliver tailored cloud solutions.
• Architect secure, scalable, high‑performance GCP solutions, including computing, networking, data storage, and machine learning applications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to cloud engineers and architects, ensuring best practices in developing and maintaining GCP solutions.
• Translate complex technical features of GCP services into business value propositions for clients, delivering impactful presentations, demos, and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Ensure all cloud solutions comply with security, compliance, and governance standards, particularly in regulated industries.
• Oversee GCP cost management and optimisation strategies, balancing performance with budget considerations.
• Engage with Google Cloud and third‑party service providers to explore new technologies, manage relationships, and negotiate contracts.
• Stay ahead of trends and advancements in GCP technologies and promote their integration to enhance service delivery.
• Provide designs for engineers on the project on how to deliver programmatic elements of the implementation.

Professional Services

• Create and manage an effective team of professionals who deliver quality client results.
• Oversee and execute process improvements and develop policies, procedures, methods, and tools to support delivery.
• Ensure that projects and deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and at high customer satisfaction.
• Function as a customer advocate in routing information and responding to customer needs within the organization.
• Develop and maintain up-to-date profiles of skills, knowledge, and competencies for the PS team.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current product offerings.

Lead and Support

• Ensure all issues and actions are addressed promptly to ensure an optimum and productive operating environment.
• Ensure adherence to policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Liaise, work and collaborate with other teams to establish a strong working relationship that ensures seamless integration of IT service delivery and operations.
• Contribute to developing and maintaining SLA, Project Implementation and charging mechanisms for the services provided.
• Manage and lead IT services delivery within agreed service levels and budgetary guidelines.
• Ensure that failed service levels or project implementation are escalated, analysed, resolved, and followed up on a timely basis.
• Develop and implement continuous operational improvement and service and project efficiency initiatives to better serve clients' needs.
• Manage external vendors' performance and service delivery.
• Ensure that the team is well‑updated on technological advancements and organisational developments to effectively meet the company's challenging and fast‑changing business demands.
• Lead, train, guide, coach, motivate, monitor and appraise departmental staff to develop and maintain a dynamic and accountable team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture, with at least 6 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Architect.
• Proven pre‑sales experience, including developing proposals, conducting technical assessments, and leading client‑facing engagements.
• Strong expertise in designing GCP solutions across compute, networking, storage, and security services.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
