DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Policy and Procedures
- Act as a subject matter expert on HR processes, policies, and procedures.
- Partner closely with business units, managers, and management to implement corporate HR strategies and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to employment laws and support HR/EA/ILO/ISO audits.
2. Initiatives and Projects
- Lead HR and business-related projects or initiatives that impact business operations and culture.
- Conduct regular on-site visits to provide HR advisory support, engagement sessions, and collect employee feedback.
- Manage ad-hoc HR assignments and assist with HR-related reporting when required.
3. HR Reports
- Prepare and submit accurate HR reports in a timely manner to the HR Manager.
4. Income Tax Administration
- Manage E-Pin registration and E-filing processes for foreign workers.
- Coordinate with supervisors and department heads for completion of tax‑related documentation.
- Support expatriate tax clearance processes and liaise with relevant authorities (IRB).
- Handle documentation and communication for worker repatriation and tax compliance.
5. Employee Engagement
- Develop and implement employee engagement, wellness, and retention initiatives.
- Conduct exit interviews, manage offboarding processes, and ensure accurate employee movement announcements.
- Identify talent gaps and recommend strategies for workforce development.
- Serve as an Emergency Responder for HR‑related urgent matters.
6. Contract & Hostel Management
- Oversee contract negotiations between vendors and management.
- Manage hostel tenancy renewals, inspections, and utility tracking.
- Verify vendor invoices, maintain updated hostel lists, and ensure compliance with facility standards.
- Liaise with hostel wardens and vendors to resolve issues promptly.
7. Grievance, Disciplinary & Industrial Relations
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions in compliance with Employment and Industrial Relations Acts.
- Conduct domestic inquiries and support inquiry panels with necessary documentation.
- Manage employee counseling, performance improvement plans, and resolution of disputes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum5-8 yearsof HR Generalist experience, preferably in amanufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge ofMalaysian Employment Lawand HR best practices.
- Experience managing large blue‑collar workforces.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
