Lendlease Singapore is currently seeking a Senior Finance Manager, Development Asia. In this role, you will play a key part in leading financial and management reporting across our development in Asia. You will ensure accurate reporting, robust financial controls, and deliver strategic insights that enable informed decision-making and optimise project performance.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Lead the integration of financial strategies with Development business objectives, including project financing and portfolio analysis.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to drive reliable and accurate planning and forecasting for projects and portfolios based on deep understanding of key business drivers.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes for Development Asia, including ownership of overhead budgeting for the region.
  • Lead financial modelling and scenario analysis at portfolio level to support decision-making and capital management.
  • Analyse financial information, providing meaningful insights, offering technical guidance and ensuring reports meet user needs.
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary.
  • Ensure effective financial monitoring and reporting mechanisms are in place for development projects, focusing on cash flow management and cost optimisation.
  • Oversee all operational accounting activities, oversee monthly closing, and prepare accounting reports to ensure timely, accurate, efficient reporting in line with company policies, accounting standards, and legislative compliance.
  • Assist in preparation of Board and executive level reporting and strategic finance presentations.
  • Build and sustain collaborative relationships with internal teams, enhancing cross-functional and cross-border cooperation and supporting a culture of excellence and integrity.
  • Provide leadership to the Development Asia finance team, fostering a commitment to providing quality service to stakeholders.
Required Background
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or related technical discipline, including CA or equivalent professional qualification
  • 7-10 years in real estate or development finance, with experience in understanding project accounting and development funding structures
  • Experience working in a regional reporting or other multi-jurisdictional team
  • Knowledge of listed corporate reporting and compliance exposure, Oracle Fusion Cloud, and Big4 experience advantageous.
  • Advanced Excel skills and understanding of financial modelling concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership capability with a preference for adopting a collaborative approach to decision making
