About the role

SIRIM Berhad is seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Executive (Strategic Planning) to join our team in Shah Alam, Selangor. As a full‑time role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the strategic direction of our organisation and driving key initiatives that support our overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist the preparation of Group Strategic Plan and Annual Business Plan & Budget for Management and Board approval.
• Assist the Senior Consultant in strategic planning tasks, including conducting strategic studies for future business growth and developing the Group business policy.
• Prepare position papers such as cabinet papers, Parliament memoranda and issues affecting the strategic direction of the company to gain interest from stakeholders.
• Develop the five‑year Malaysia Plan strategy paper as input to Central Agencies for the Ministry.
• Plan business strategy and identify, translate market opportunities into actionable recommendations to achieve individual, team and company revenue and profit targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a strategic planning or consulting role, preferably within the Consulting & Strategy industry.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
• Proficiency in strategic formulation, report writing, strategic foresight and balanced scorecard.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate strategic concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
• In‑depth knowledge of business analysis, finance and legal and regulatory matters.
• Analytical ability to analyse information and prepare coherent and factual reports.
• Proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to support strategic decision‑making.
• Degree in strategic management, economics or technology management, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
