Job summary

A major healthcare provider in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Executive, Finance to support their Finance Department. This role will involve responsibilities such as financial reporting, budgeting, compliance with statutory requirements, and process improvement. Candidates should have a degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 5 years of experience, and be skilled in Excel and Power BI. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with inventory management will be advantageous.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing and analysing the general ledger for monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities.
  • Assist in reviewing financial performance periodically and propose expense control measures if necessary.
  • Assist in the implementation of government compliance projects such as e-Invoice and SST.
  • Assist in reviewing inventory processes, offering recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the preparation of the Annual Business Plan and conduct financial evaluations for CAPEX.

Job description

The Senior Executive, Finance will be responsible for supporting our Finance Department in various key areas, including financial reporting, budgeting, and process optimisation. You will assist in preparing financial reports, analysing performance, and providing valuable insights for business improvement. The role also assists in managing accounts and finance functions to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, while also liaising with auditors and aiding in tax audits. Additionally, responsibilities include performing general ledger reconciliations and providing insightful commentary on the company’s financial position and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Account Closing

Assist in reviewing and analysing the general ledger for monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities. Assist in reviewing financial performance periodically and propose expense control measures if necessary. Perform expense analysis, benchmark against the budget periodically and general ledger reconciliations when necessary.

Yearly Budget

Assist in reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of budget reporting.

Government Compliance Projects

Assist in the implementation of government compliance projects such as e-Invoice, SST and etc. Liaise with internal parties for new implementation processes and propose process flows when necessary.

Inventory Management & Analysis

Assist in reviewing inventory processes, offering recommendations for improvement. Provide guidance on inventory costing and identify areas for improvement in movement analysis.

Process Improvement & Automation

Assist in automation projects aimed at improving financial processes and productivity. Support system implementation and automation initiatives within the Finance Department.

Other Key Tasks

Support the preparation of the Annual Business Plan. Conduct financial evaluations for CAPEX and business expansion, including feasibility studies and ROI calculations.

Qualification & Requirements

Degree in Accounting /Costing/Data Analyst/Finance or any equivalent professional.

ICAEW/ACCA/CPA/MIA/CIMA/Data Analyst or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of working experience, preferably with experience in data analytics and pricing strategy.

Required skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power BI.

Accounting and finance knowledge, data analytics, costing and pricing knowledge are added advantages.
