Senior Engineering Manager – Manufacturing & System Integration

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead system integration, equipment assembly engineering, and manufacturing readiness for complex industrial equipment. This role focuses on building and strengthening Malaysia’s capability in system-level assembly, manufacturing engineering, and production support. The position has a clear pathway to a future Director-level leadership role as the site expands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead integration of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/fluid and control subsystems into complete equipment.
  • Oversee assembly engineering, fixture design, process documentation, and build optimization.
  • Ensure manufacturability, repeatability, and quality through DFMA practices.
Engineering Leadership
  • Guide a team of engineers supporting system builds, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Review and approve drawings, BOMs, test plans and manufacturing documentation.
  • Drive engineering change control, configuration management, and readiness for production ramp‑up.
Cross‑Functional & Supplier Collaboration
  • Work closely with Production, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure alignment from prototype to production.
  • Support supplier technical readiness for components and subassemblies.
  • Coordinate FAT/SAT activities and qualification testing.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar engineering field.
  • PMP certification is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, 3D modeling, PDM and manufacturing processes.
Experience Requirements
  • Required: 8–12 years of experience in equipment assembly, automation, machine system integration, or capital equipment manufacturing.
  • Minimum 3–5 years leading engineering teams or supervising integration projects.
  • Hands‑on involvement in assembly builds, troubleshooting, or test qualification.
  • Preferred: Experience with fluid or pneumatic systems, process modules, or industrial equipment.
  • Exposure to PLM/ERP systems and engineering change processes.
