Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical engineering & Execution activities for FPSO, Oil & Gas and Data Centre projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in offshore oil and gas projects as well as Data Centre design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible project electrical engineering team, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering team for FPSO/ Data Centre projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of engineering deliverables
• Oversee the design, specification, and procurement of electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, motors, switchgear, and control systems
• Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, API, NEC) and client specifications
• Review and approve electrical engineering documents, including single-line diagrams, load schedules, cable sizing calculations, equipment datasheets & specifications, electrical layouts
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, instrumentation, and process) to ensure an integrated design approach
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments
• Support procurement activities by reviewing vendor documents and conducting technical bid evaluations
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems during the construction phase
• Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
• Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges
• Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a Data Centre projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, including HV/LV distribution, transformers, generators, and motor control centers
• Proficiency in engineering software such as ETAP, SKM, or similar tools
• Familiarity with FPSO-specific requirements, including marine classification societies (e.g., DNV, ABS)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
