A leading recruitment platform is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role involves supporting financial performance management and project budget preparation in a real estate/construction context. Candidates should possess a degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Excellent financial modelling and communication skills are essential. The position offers a collaborative work environment and the opportunity to engage with various stakeholders.
Support the Senior Commercial Manager to manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance and reporting.
Contribute to the preparation of project budget plans, including revenue, overhead and cashflow forecasting by asset.
Oversee recurring reporting, including total project costs, revenue and cashflow forecasting, and financial presentations for management information and use.
Track and monitor costs against forecasts, including preparation of relevant reports.
Support integrated project/ business commercial analysis and preparation of all monthly reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate variance analysis.
Oversee financial transactions and accounting positions at project level.
Collaborate and manage communication with relevant stakeholders to maintain a relevant, up-to-date financial model. Stakeholders to include:
Provide support in the consolidation and analysis of financial data to for cost budgeting, capital requirement projections, debt drawdowns and redemptions etc.
Continuous improvement to model robustness and accuracy.
Timely financial analyses of project, including identifying key project driver sensitivities, scenario analysis.
Timely financial analyses at the various levels, including asset class, project, joint venture and potentially fund level.
Interpret and communicate analyses in a clear and concise manner to relevant project stakeholders.
Support management in identifying risks and opportunities from the Commercial Assessment and communicate critical issues to management for resolution.
