Job summary

A consulting firm is seeking an experienced professional in Penang for a role focused on manufacturing systems implementation and management. The ideal candidate should have over 8 years of experience in a manufacturing setup, demonstrating knowledge in MES platforms like CAMStar and proficiency in Power BI. Responsibilities include facilitating implementation, creating training materials, and managing system upgrades. This role offers an opportunity to lead projects and improve system efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Information System / Computer Science or relevant required.
• 8+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment with MES implementation knowledge.
• Proficiency in MES platforms such as CAMStar is an advantage.
• Knowledge in business analytics using Power BI.
• Understanding of programming languages such as SQL, C# is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates site implementation of enterprise systems with documentation.
• Defines and re-engineers manufacturing applications processes.
• Creates training material and provides user training.
• Manages Global Labelling System (GLS) upgrade roll out.
• Improves system efficiency and recommends new systems.
• Participates in cross-functional teams for testing and documentation.
• May lead multiple projects with internal and external groups.
• Designs and maintains interactive Power BI dashboards.
• Responds to and resolves system issues reported by users.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Facilitates site implementation of enterprise systems by creating and communicating well-written documentation and presentations.
• Defines and re-engineers manufacturing applications processes by using appropriate methods and tools and partnering with process owners to understand requirements.
• Creates training material and provide training for user assistance and system usage.
• Manages Global Labelling System (GLS) -system upgrade roll out, system configuration, installation and operation support.
• Improve application / system efficiency and makes recommendations for implementation of new systems or necessary upgrades that will best meet customer and organizational requirements.
• Participation in cross functional teams to articulate site requirements, coordinate site testing (user acceptance test, system simulation test) and documentation.
• May lead multiple projects simultaneously, working with internal and external cross functional groups.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that visualize system data to provide actionable insights.
• Timely respond and resolve system issues reported by end users, issue escalation to global support team when necessary.

Requirements

• Candidate required process at least Bachelor Degree in Information System /Computer Science or relevant.
• At least 8 years of working experience in Manufacturing environment with MES implementation and maintenance knowledge.
• Proficiency in MES platforms such as CAMStar will be an added advantage
• Knowledge and experience in business analytics using power BI tool.
• Understanding of Programming languages such as SQL, C# will be desirable
