Job summary

A leading palm oil company located in Johor seeks a Senior Account Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations, including preparing financial statements and managing full sets of accounts. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in the palm oil or transportation industry. A strong knowledge of accounting principles is essential, and ACCA qualification or Chartered Accountant certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in full set accounts and subsidiary company management.
• Experience in the palm oil or transportation industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and functions.

Job description

SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

To manage day-to-day accounting operations and functions, such as data entry for the accounts receivable accounting system.

To prepare management account, balance sheet, income statement, & cash flow.

To manage e-Invoice tasks such as issuing, receiving, verifying, and filing invoices.

To handle emails related to payments, invoices, etc.

Able to operate accounting software.

Handle full set of accounts.

Prepare bank reconciliation.

Ensure monthly accounts are closed on time and prepare monthly management variance reports.

Verify that all payments are supported with properly approved documentation.

Handle all tax matters.

Liaise with external tax agents, auditors, company secretary, bankers, government bodies, and relevant authorities to ensure compliance and good governance.

Maintain and update the fixed asset and inventory registers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or professional certificate in accounting

Proven experience as an Senior Accounts Executive / Account Executive or similar role in the palm oil background/Transportation industry, with at least 3 - 5 years of experience in full set accounts and subsidiary company management.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.

ACCA qualification or Chartered Accountant certification is an added advantage.

The role is based at our HQ office located in Stulang Laut, Johor.
