A leading recruitment agency in Malaysia is looking for a Senior Account Executive to manage accounting and financial operations at a manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance while achieving operational efficiency. Responsibilities include handling cost accounting, preparing financial statements, and coordinating audits. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in full-set accounting, especially in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all accounting duties in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure schedules and deadlines are met.
  • Handle cost accounting including materials and labor.
  • Prepare journal entries and general ledger postings.
  • Manage monthly and annual closing activities.
  • Coordinate interim and annual audits.
  • Prepare final accounts and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain and control cash and bank balances.
  • Liaise with external parties including auditors and bankers.

Senior Account Executive - 20 days AL - 5 days work (ID: 692886)

The position is responsible for managing accounting and financial operations at the manufacturing plant in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, and compliance with audit and regulatory requirements while supporting operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all accounting duties (full set) in accordance with the company’s standard rules, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure accounting schedules, deadlines, and objectives are met
  • Handle cost accounting, including materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead
  • Prepare journal entries, vouchers, and general ledger postings
  • Manage monthly, interim, and annual closing activities
  • Coordinate and support interim and annual audits
  • Prepare final accounts and cash flow statements
  • Maintain and control company cash and bank balances
  • Liaise with external parties including auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and bankers
  • Control, maintain, and reconcile the fixed asset register
  • Manage inventory accounting, stock control, and physical inventory counts
  • Coordinate and verify financial data with production and operational departments
  • Promote operational improvements and reform of accounting processes through the use of IT systems and automation
  • Support tax filings and statutory compliance in coordination with external advisors
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager
Job Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years experience in full-set accounting, especially in manufacturing industry (costing)
  • Familiarity with any accounting software
