Job summary

A financial services company in Selangor is looking for a Senior Accounts Executive to manage full sets of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial transactions. This role involves daily accounting tasks, preparing reports, and monitoring cash flow. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 3–5 years of experience, and be proficient in accounting software. An immediate or short notice joining is required due to urgent hiring needs.

Responsibilities

  • Handle full sets of day-to-day accounts.

The Senior Accounts Executive is responsible for handling full sets of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions. This role involves managing daily accounting tasks, preparing reports, monitoring cash flow, and supporting the Account Department in maintaining smooth financial operations.

Job Description
  • Handling full sets of day-to-day account.
  • Key-in data into the accounting and inventory systems accurately and timely.
  • Monitoring cash flow, credit control, and manage petty cash.
  • Check and reconcile debtor and creditor with bank statements.
  • Maintain proper records of vouchers, invoices, payments documents, and related accounting files.
  • Prepare invoices and following up on pending payments from customers.
  • Handling all banking-related matters.
  • Preparing profit & loss statements and assist with monthly and annual closing.
  • Print and update monthly debtors' statement of account.
  • Email statements of accounts and credit notes to customers/dealers.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports such cash book, sales reports and management reports.
  • Process monthly commissions.
  • Finalize accounts, assist in external audits, maintain the general ledger, and perform all other related accounting duties.
  • Submit consolidated e-invoices.
  • Responsible in tasks related to fixed deposits.
  • Ensuring compliance with latest accounting standard, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Assist in any related ad hoc task as and when necessary.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in a similar accounting role (full set experience is an added advantage).
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, UBS) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
