Seller Operations (Projects) - Operations, MY Marketplace

The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

The Seller Operations (SOS) team's primary goal is to develop seller policies and on-the-ground initiatives that enhance our platform's competitiveness and, by extension, improve the buyer experience.

The SOS strives to cultivate the desired behaviours among sellers through strategic policy setting, process improvements, and product enhancements to provide the best experience for all users.

Policy Development and Implementation
  • Develop and set policies related to Seller Operations that are fair, competitive, and aligned with our organizational goals.
  • Ensure policies drive the desired behaviours among sellers, promoting a healthy and productive marketplace ecosystem.
Project Management
  • Spearhead and manage a variety of projects related to seller operations and seller experience, including process improvements and product enhancements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met and implemented effectively.
  • Drive and monitor assigned Seller Ops Objective Key Results (OKR), KPIs, User Experience (UX) and seller NPS metrics.
  • Develop and refine simulation models to predict the outcomes of different operational strategies, focusing on their impact on relevant metrics.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to enhance model accuracy and relevance, ensuring simulations effectively inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Preferred experience in project management and/or management consulting within the relevant sector.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to independently navigate complex and diverse environments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships across teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and skills, capable of effectively gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data for informed decision-making.
