Job description

Responsibilities

• Monitor the university’s electronic security systems, including access control, unauthorized access detection and CCTV systems, and coordinate appropriate responses to alerts as per procedures and/or directions from the Senior Security Officer.
• Always be vigilant on all activities within the campus to detect and assess any security breaches, suspicious behavior or potential threats.
• Manage and respond to emergency, incident and security enquiries in accordance with the incident management protocols.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security incidents, including the nature of the event, response actions taken, and any follow-up tasks. Complete daily security log in a timely manner, ensuring that all the relevant information is properly documented for future reference or investigations.
• Identify any technical issues related to security systems and equipment. Report any malfunctions or deficiencies promptly to the security system team and ensure that all systems are functioning optimally.
