A leading technology firm in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a motivated Technical Sales professional. The role involves acting as the main commercial contact with customers, developing sales strategies, achieving sales targets, and leading a sales team. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3 years of sales experience, with strong skills in communication and negotiation. A flexible approach to travel and project management is essential.
Technical Consultation: Act as the primary commercial and technical interface, maintaining a deep understanding of customer requirements and providing appropriate solutions
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales and go-to-market strategies that align with the company\'s overall business objectives and drive revenue/profit increase.
Target Achievement: Achieve annual sales targets for revenue, volume, and profit margins.
Develop Sales Strategies: Formulate and execute comprehensive sales and go-to-market strategies that align with the company\'s overall business objectives for long‑term growth.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team (if applicable), fostering a high‑performance, resilient, and customer‑focused sales culture.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long‑term partnerships with existing key customers to ensure satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial lead generation and qualification to technical consultation, negotiation, and contract closing.
Technical Sales: Leverage a deep technical understanding of the injection moulding process, materials, and tooling to effectively present solutions and align the company's manufacturing capabilities with customer needs.
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering plastic/electronic, business administration, marketing, sales, Science education or a related field.
Experience: Candidates with 3 years of relevant experience in sales.
Skills required: Good sales skills, including prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in English, Malay & Mandarin.
Team Player: Collaborate with different departments' team members to achieve client needs and business goals.
Adaptable Adventurer: Flexibility to travel, adapt to market changes, and manage multiple projects is crucial for success.
