Job description

We are a growing furniture manufacturer focusing on wooden furniture for export markets. We are looking for a R&D Executive to support new product development, CNC operations, and sample preparation for exhibitions and overseas customers.

This role plays a key part in transforming design concepts into production-ready furniture, ensuring accuracy in design, materials, and costing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new furniture designs and product concepts for export markets
• Prepare CNC drawings, toolpaths, and programs for machining
• Operate and support CNC machines during sample and trial runs
• Produce new samples and prototypes for exhibitions and customer approval
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), part lists, and specifications
• Select and evaluate raw materials (solid wood, panel, hardware, finishing materials)
• Work closely with production, QC, and sales teams to ensure designs are production-feasible
• Improve existing product designs for cost, quality, and manufacturability
• Maintain proper documentation for drawings, revisions, and samples

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Wood Technology, Engineering, or related fields
• 1–3 years’ experience in R&D / product development in the furniture industry
• Experience in CNC operation and programming (e.g. Alphacam, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar)
• Strong understanding of woodworking processes and furniture construction
• Knowledge of BOM, raw materials, and hardware is a strong advantage
• Able to read technical drawings and translate designs into production parts
• Hands‑on, detail-oriented, and willing to work on the factory floor when required
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship or CNC exposure are welcome to apply
