Job Description: Resident Medical Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Officer to provide high-quality patient care, support medical diagnoses, and oversee clinical operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing patient treatment plans, ensuring compliance with medical protocols, and contributing to the continuous improvement of healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient consultations professionally and courteously regarding treatments and procedures.
  • Diagnose, prescribe treatments, and manage patient care plans effectively.
  • Educate and counsel patients on healthcare, wellness, and disease prevention.
  • Accurately document patient histories, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans.
  • Supervise clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient patient management.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), medical regulations, and clinical protocols.
  • Provide guidance and training to clinic staff, including nurses and clinic assistants.
  • Participate in Continuous Medical Education (CME) and relevant medical courses to stay updated with the latest medical advancements.
  • Attend mandatory courses and training sessions as required.
Job Requirements
  • Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and holds a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Strong sense of professionalism, empathy, and patience in patient interactions.
  • Willing to work on a rotating shift schedule & support night shifts if required.
  • Residency near the clinic is an added advantage.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Medicine (MBBS/MD) or equivalent.
  • Completed compulsory service in Ministry of Health.
  • Experience working in a private clinic (LOCUM) is an added advantage.
