Candidates must possess a Medical Degree and be registered with the Malaysian Medical Council. Experience in intensive care and life support courses is essential. Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Pediatric, Intensive Care Unit, Acute Care & Ward Management.
  • Skills in IV line setting, arterial line, airway management, blood taking, and catheterization.
  • Attended life support courses: ACLS, ALS, ATLS, PALS, APLS, BLS, NRP.

Description
  • Oversee care of critically ill neonates, pediatric and / or adult patients under diverse range of post‑operative and emergency admissions, in critical care unit and other inpatient wards.
  • Assist in management of unstable patients in other inpatient areas e.g. post‑major operations, freshly transferred out from critical care units, carry procedures and discharges where consultant is not able to attend in time e.g.: catheterization / difficult NGT insertion.
  • Attend / assess verbal orders e.g. sedation at night or radiology investigation, setting lines or taking blood samples and attending to code for patients in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Possesses Medical Degree and registered with Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
  • Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
  • Attended / trained in life support courses: ACLS / ALS, ATLS / MTLS, PALS / APLS, BLS, NRP and other relevant courses related to emergency care or intensive care. Minimum 4 years’ experience in Pediatric, Intensive Care Unit, Acute Care & Ward Management as well as Anaesthesiology.
  • Possesses skills on all the procedures (IV line setting, arterial line, airway management, blood taking, catheterization).
  • Able to understand technical issues in medical field.
  • Excellent communication skills and compassion.
  • Ability to work long hours, shifts and often under pressure.
  • Effective decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
