Job Description: Recruitment Consultant (JB) - 6 Months Contract

Position Title: Recruitment Consultant
Location: Pusat Perdagangan Eko Paladium, Persiaran Ekoflora, 81100 Johor Bahru
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: HR Manager / HR Business Partner
Employment Type: Contract Position, On Site, 5.5 Days Week

Role Summary: The Recruitment Consultant with a focus on recruitment will be responsible for managing the end-to-end hiring process to attract and onboard the best talent for the organization. This role requires a proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of the Malaysian job market and labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle including job posting, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Work with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and define job descriptions and specifications.
  • Source candidates using various channels such as job portals, social media, career fairs, and recruitment agencies.
  • Coordinate and conduct initial interviews and assessments.
  • Arrange interviews with department heads and follow up on feedback.
  • Prepare and issue offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding documents.
Employer Branding
  • Promote the company’s employer brand through social media, job fairs, and university partnerships.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with external recruitment partners and academic institutions.
Onboarding & Induction
  • Coordinate smooth onboarding processes for new hires including orientation programs and necessary documentation.
  • Ensure a positive and professional experience for new employees during their first days at work.
HR Administration
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and reports.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with company policies and Malaysian labor laws.
  • Support general HR functions including employee database management, leave tracking, and HR documentation when required.
Metrics & Reporting
  • Track and report recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and turnover rate.
  • Analyze hiring trends and recommend improvements to streamline processes.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 2–4 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably within a corporate HR environment in Malaysia.
    • Familiarity with local employment laws and hiring practices.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Ability to handle multiple vacancies and work under tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruitment platforms (e.g., JobStreet, LinkedIn).
    • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is an advantage.
