A healthcare institution in Johor Bahru is seeking a Radiologist to review and interpret medical imaging studies, perform interventional procedures, and ensure adherence to radiation safety standards. Candidates must have a medical degree, postgraduate qualification in Radiology, and at least 3-5 years of experience. Emphasizing teamwork and communication skills is essential for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in patient management.
Review and interpret medical imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.
Provide timely, accurate, and clinically relevant imaging reports.
Discuss imaging findings with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams to guide patient management.
Image-Guided Procedures
Perform or supervise interventional and image-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainages, and joint injections.
Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and patient safety protocols during procedures.
Clinical Governance and Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and hospital protocols.
Participate in regular image quality audits, peer reviews, and case discussions.
Supervise and guide radiographers, sonographers, and radiology residents in daily operations.
Administrative and Professional Duties
Participate in departmental meetings, policy development, and service improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient confidentiality in all imaging-related activities.
Comply with Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations and ethical standards.
Job Requirements:
Medical Degree (MBBS / MD) from a recognized university.
Postgraduate qualification in Radiology (e.g. Master in Radiology (Malaya/UKM/USM), FRCR, or equivalent).
Full registration with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Radiologist preferred.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to handle emergency and on-call imaging cases.
Commitment to patient safety and radiation protection principles.
