Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.

Proficiency in cost estimation, with the ability to accurately assess project costs and prepare detailed estimates.

Experience in quantity take-off, with the ability to accurately measure and quantify materials and labor required for construction projects.

Knowledge of contract negotiation principles and practices, with the ability to assist in negotiating favorable contract terms.

Familiarity with cost control techniques and the ability to monitor project costs and identify potential cost overruns.

Understanding of risk management principles and the ability to identify and assess potential risks associated with construction projects.

Knowledge of construction law and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Support the cost control process by tracking project expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of subcontracts, including reviewing subcontractor bids, negotiating terms, and managing subcontractor performance.
  • Contribute to risk management activities by identifying potential cost risks, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring risk exposure throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the preparation of contract documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant construction laws and regulations.
  • Participate in contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including cost reports, quantity records, and contract correspondence.
