Job summary

A manufacturing company in Batu Gajah, Perak is seeking a QAQC Manager to lead and manage quality assurance and control activities. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Quality Engineering, along with extensive managerial experience in the sheet metal or machining industry. The ideal candidate will have robust knowledge of ISO 9001, quality inspection methods, and strong leadership skills. Job description

Multi Mould Industries Sdn Bhd – Batu Gajah, Perak

To lead and manage Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) activities & Safety function to ensure products, processes and projects comply with customer requirements, applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

Quality Management System (QMS)

Establish, implement and maintain QAQC procedures in line with ISO 9001 and customer specifications.

Ensure effective document control, SOPs, WI and quality records

Lead internal audits and support external audits (customer, certification bodies)

Quality Assurance (QA)

Develop quality plans. inspection test plans (ITO) and control plans

Review drawings, specifications and customer quality requirements

Ensure preventive actions are implemented to avoid defects

Monitor quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement

Quality Control (QC)

Oversee incoming, in-process and final inspections

Ensure proper use and calibration of measuring equipment

Manage non-conformance reports (NCR), root cause analysis and corrective actions

Approve or reject materials, parts and finished products.

Customer Quality

Handle customer complaints, quality issues and returns

Coordinate customer inspections

Team & Training

Lead and develop QAQC inspectors and engineers

Conduct training on quality standards, inspection methods, and workmanship

Promote quality awareness across all departments

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory and customer requirements

Support EHS requirements related to quality processes

Maintain an accident-free environment, implement safety protocols, and promote a safety-first culture.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Industrial, Quality Engineering or related field

At least 8+ years experiences in engineering, with at least 3 years in managerial role within the sheet metal or machining industry

Strong Knowledge of ISO 9001 & Quality management system, inspection methods and quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC)

Certified Lead Auditor will be added advantage.

Strong operations process concepts, leadership, writing and communication skills, concepts and methodologies of Management System.

In-depth understanding of precision machining and fabrication techniques

Able to work in team and independent to work under minimum supervision
