Job summary

Salary:RM4,500 – RM6,000 (Negotiable, Based on Experience)

Own Quality & Testing for a Major Infrastructure Project

We are seeking adetail-driven and mentally strong QAQC Officerto takefull ownership of site laboratory operations and RFI managementfor theMalaysian Vision Valley (MVV)road infrastructure project.

This role is ideal for someone who ishands-on, organised, and confident in enforcing quality compliance, particularly in projects governed byJKR standards and strict testing requirements.

Laboratory Operations

  • Takefull charge of site laboratory operationsand all testing activities
  • Ensure material testing (soil, concrete, aggregates, asphalt, etc.) complies withapproved standards, specifications, ITPs, and project requirements
  • Coordinate testing withsite teams, consultants, and external laboratories
  • Maintaincalibration, upkeep, and complianceof laboratory equipment
  • Ensure correctsampling, testing procedures, and accurate reporting
  • Maintain completelaboratory records, test results, and traceability documentation

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

  • Implement and monitorQAQC proceduresin line with the Project Quality Management Plan
  • Review test results and verify compliance withdrawings and specifications
  • Identify non-conformances and raiseNCRswhere required
  • Propose and follow throughcorrective and preventive actionsuntil closure

RFI Management

  • Prepare, submit, track, and closeRFIs related to testing, materials, and quality matters
  • Coordinate withconsultants, clients, and site teamsto obtain timely approvals
  • Maintain updatedRFI registers and status reports
  • Ensure RFIs are properly documented and closed within required timelines

Coordination & Reporting

  • Work closely with theProject Manager, Site Engineers, and consultantson quality matters
  • Attendquality meetings, inspections, and audits
  • Prepare and submitQAQC reports, test summaries, and compliance documentation
  • Supportclient, consultant, and authority audits

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree inCivil Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven experience inQAQC and site laboratory operationswithin construction projects
  • Strong knowledge ofmaterial testing standards and project specifications
  • Experience handlingRFIs, NCRs, and QAQC documentation
  • Strong coordination, documentation, and reporting skills
  • Able to workindependentlyand take full ownership of lab and quality matters

  • Mentally strong and comfortable inhigh-pressure, compliance-driven environments(especially JKR projects)
  • Confident in leading and coordinatinglaboratory technicians
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
