As a QA Engineer at HKSM, you will play a critical role in maintaining product quality, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring full compliance with QMS (ISO 9001) and EMS (ISO 14001) standards. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to monitor, control, and improve quality across production operations.

As a QA Engineer at HKSM, you will play a critical role in maintaining product quality, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring full compliance with QMS (ISO 9001) and EMS (ISO 14001) standards. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to monitor, control, and improve quality across production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • To monitor that all potential nonconforming product is identified and contained.
  • To supervise daily activity compliance with EMS/QMS.
  • Promote the use of the process approach and risk‑based thinking to ensure EMS/QMS remains effective and compliance.
  • Responsible on review, maintain and ensure documents and essential records for all inspection & test are proper and effective.
  • Responsible to review, maintain and ensure all calibrated equipment and relevant documentation are proper and effective.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving of First Piece Samples prior to production.
  • To keep all company’s information which private and confidential (P&C).
  • Develop and uphold the implementation of the company’s policies and SOP.
  • To comply and co‑operate with employer and others in meeting statutory requirements, all the rules on occupational safety & health, and environmental.
Key Tasks
  • Plan and conduct on‑the‑job training from time to time as when necessary to meet quality objectives. On‑the‑job training shall conduct with commensurate to the level of education the employee.
  • Ensure work instructions and inspection criteria are properly displayed.
  • Verify effectiveness of QA corrective actions and report to management.
  • Organize and maintain QA documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to solve quality issues.
  • Managing the QA processes and related outputs compliance to its SOP.
  • Correct, prevent or reduce undesired effects to improve the performance and effectiveness of the process.
  • Handle customers’ quality complaints and perform the diagnosis to the problem faced. Report to Management for review and recommendation.
  • Plan and lead internal discussion with respective process owners on the customer complaint / feedback received. Follow up on corrective / preventive action for customer return / complaints.
  • Manage customers’ CAR / 8D / customer quality complaints’ progress and closure.
  • Follow up on FA submission.
  • To perform analytical testing and resolve product non‑conformance issues.
  • Prepare a Control Plan & FMEA for evaluation and inspection of each new part / manufacturing process.
  • Develop and implement quality standard and quality control system. Ensuring all products meet the set quality standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Diploma Mechanical engineering / Material / Manufacturing Engineering or at least 3-5 years of working experience in similar field/position.
  • Familiar with Lean manufacturing, problem‑solving tools (e.g. 6 Sigma, 8D, FMEA, 5‑Why, Fishbone).
  • Good communication skills in English & Mandarin to liaise with China HQ.
  • Relevant technical know‑how, project management, APQP, ISIR/PPAP.
