A leading manufacturing company is looking for a responsible individual to manage OEM direct purchases both locally and overseas. This role involves monitoring orders, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely deliveries. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field along with a minimum of 3 years experience in the manufacturing industry. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to procurement strategies.
Responsible for OEM Direct Purchases (Local & Oversea)
Monitor ordering process whether placed through E-requisition via SAP, monitor outstanding PO (product, quantities availability, quality, delivery term, etc.)
To negotiate for the best price, order lead time, payment term, buffer stock, etc. for every purchase while maintaining the highest level of quality reliability and services
Work closely with planners to identify local deliveries required to supplier JIT production and avoid any line interruption
Resolve the logistics, product supply quality issue concerning incoming supply with suppliers and internal team
Handle discrepancies, quality, and quantity claims with suppliers
Review and analysis purchase up to the landed cost
Follow up outstanding orders and shipments until the completion of goods receiving process
Participate in new product development and project to meet deadline and target
Conduct analyses to identify cost saving/ VAVE opportunities for direct materials
Maintain good communication with suppliers to ensure on time delivery, and keep optimum raw material stock level for production (especially regularly raw material/ accessories)
Responsible in ISO documentation such as supplier’s audit, supplier monitoring performance, yearly assessment, etc.
Timely updates and submission of purchasing’s report
Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Possess a Diploma or Degree in any relevant discipline.
Minimum 3 years relevant experience in manufacturing industry, and for senior role minimum 5 years' experience.
Strong working knowledge of computer skills and application software is essential.
Possess good communication skills and able to interact with people of all levels and sections.
Independent and with capacity to work on own initiative.
Able to communicate with China supplier.
